My first DSLR - Learning Photography

By Cedric F. Jacob

It's been a while since I picked up my camera without having a specific purpose in mind. I miss spending time with the camera, just shooting whatever or whoever happens to be in near proximity. That's why I want to get the ball rolling again by posting my earlier photos first. Hopefully a lot of posts and new photos will follow over the coming month.

My Girlfriend Stephanie

The first few days after the camera arrived, I must have taken hundreds of photos of Stephanie. I might have annoyed her a little at some point:

My Sister Laura

A few weeks into my jounrey, I started using Adobe Lightroom to touch up my photos. Here is a photo of my sister's eye. If you look closely, you can see me holding my camera / her pupil:

My Training-Partner Dennis

Soon I started taking my camera wherever I went. On this particular day I was working out with Dennis. In between sets, I tried to capture some portrait shots:

The Camera's first Trip

In December 2017, we went to New York in order to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. We stayed for a little longer than a week and witnessed some awesome live musicians during that time:
